Mountains of the Moon is a long-time Green America (formerly Co-op) America approved business, and we are quite proud of it, if we do say so ourselves. In order to be approved for the Green America Seal, a company must go through a screening process to prove that they "adopt principles, policies, and practices that improve the quality of life for their customers, their employees, communities, and the environment." Not to toot our own eco-horns, but we've also been nominated for Green America's Green Business of the Year for the last three years a row. Not too shabby for a fashion line, eh?
We thought we'd share two very interesting articles recently put out by Green America. The first, Solutions from the Green Economy, discusses six green-economy solutions to today’s economic mess. The second, 7 Fixes from the Green Economy, focuses on this issue in more depth. They are both informative and bring up some pretty innovative ideas that could actually work.
And with our amazing brand new president and administration, we think the environment will finally be given the attention it really deserves. But we'll save that for another post.
